Tuscaloosa
Earlier this morning, we decided to checkout of the hotel in New Orleans. Mostly because we got the Van out of valet parking and thought we would spend the rest of the day in the NO area and would have done all those things we wanted to do. And we did. We went over to the WWII National Museam and spent a few hours. Very impressive, we could have spent much more time there, but did get to see most of it. So late in the afternoon we hit I-10 east to I-59 north and got as far as Tuscaloosa, AL around 7 PM.
Tomorrow we will go to Madison, AL, to meet Bob and Gigi for lunch and a visit. It looks like an ice storm is brewing in the south and will hit here Thursday night. Our best bet after visiting is to head north as far as we can - probably to around Mamouth Cave KY. Then the rest of the way Friday morning.
